Good product, added flexibility = great!

This is a good product that has already helped me keep on top of my schedule. Much appreciated. However, some of the flow could be optimized to minimize key strokes and reduce mouse movement.

I would also suggest making the grade schema a little more flexible and configurable to eliminate manual calculations to force it in. For example, being able to chose per class whether each assignment is graded by percentage or by letter grade. Backend configuration could make the translation bi-directional.

This would apply to percentages of grade as well. For example, I had an assignment that was 2.5 percent of my grade. I would like to be able to manually enter the percentage. It would also be nice to see if the percentages total up to 100% without having to enter into each entry and add it up manually. Adding this type of functionality would make this a no-brainer for using for school work.

My suggestions shouldn't minimize the ease of use. It was easy to setup for my school schedule. While I am not sure what benefits I would receive from the pro version over this version, I would recommend it, regardless of my other recommendations.

I actually downloaded the program to check out for my daughter who is in college. From what I can see, it would be very helpful!

Interface Woes

It's a bit cheeky to comment on something that's free but here it goes. The interface is my main gripe. It's a little confusing and I almost uninstalled it straight away as it's not really intuitive enough for me. For the average user, it can be daunting and I found myself rolling my eyes a little (no, it's not the coffee) because of the messing around with lessons and timings etc. A little more thought is needed on the layout I think, otherwise for a freebie, it's not bad. I'd give it about 6/10.

The Student Planner for the Job

This is a really helpful piece of time management and planning software for the student. It is easy to understand and use. It meets basic needs without lots of un-necessary bells and whistles. While the Lite version which is free gives you a good feel for the software, it is well worth the modest investment in the full version to get the benifit of the disabled features, which are must haves.
